ENGINEERING & MANUFACTURING
QUALITY CONTROL: RELIABILITY, SAFETY, PERFORMANCE
Specialized technical skills, in the design phase, combined with qualified
expertise, in the manufacturing process, are one of the winning resources
for meeting the demands of a strategic market in constant evolution.
Investing in research is another strong point of our philosophy, thinking of
the fact that this field is still young and open to technical solutions unimaginable
today.
All Alfa Plants lines and machines, rigorously comply with CE regulations,
and meet customer needs in terms of reliability, safety and performance.
The type of plants developed by its technicians and thanks to finally tuned

The washing lines are divided in two types, float and sink. Better said, the plastic with
specific weight, under 1 and the one with specific weight over 1, polyethylene,
polypropylene under 1 and polyesters over 1.
We handle both types of material, but especially we will talk about polyester witch we
say is our specialty.
The PET washing, normally gets done with hot water and addition of caustic soda.
Taking in consideration, not said by us, that caustic soda has a degrading effect on PET
and that hot water produced with external generators from the line its self,
is an additional cost, we have chosen to go a different way, by washing always in hot
water but without any additional costs.
By taking advantage of those which are the characteristics of PET itself, we have succeeded
in obtaining optimal results
without caustic soda and with self generated hot water (95°C).
Taking advantage of the characteristics of the product to be treated, is our way of working
and thinking, doing so we have arrived at the technology we are proposing.
As such the characteristics furnished by our clients regarding ppm on a 1200 kg/hr line
bivalent, the washed flake is being used to reproduce the PET or HDPE bottle for bottling
detergents.
Based on the feed back given to us by our client, who has a line for washing PET and HDPE
of 1200 kg/hr, the remaining ppm allows him to use the washed flakes for reproducing
both PET or HDPE bottles for industrial use.

PLEASE NOTE: PAPER AND CARDBOARD MUST BE COLLECTED AND SEPARATED FROM KITCHEN WASTE BECAUSE OTHERWISE IT GETS WET AND DIRTY. PAPER MILLS WILL NOT PROVIDE FOR ITS COLLECTION.
PAPER AND CARDBOARD ARE PACKAGED WITHOUT RUNNING THROUGH THE INSTALLATION
Feed : 18000 kg/hr ca., the material is unloaded close to belt no. 1
(bag-breaker feed belt) the material is pushed onto the belt by means of a mechanical blade and conveyed to the bag-breaker, which is intended to break the bags in order to sort its content.
(BEFORE PUSHING THE MATERIAL ONTO THE BELT, PRE-SORT BY REMOVING BULKY MATERIALS, SUCH AS WOODEN PALLETS, BICYCLES, RIMS AND CAR TYRES, IRON PIECES, OVER 5 MM IN THICKNESS OR DIAMETER AND 200X200 MM IN DIMENSIONS, TO AVOID DAMAGING THE BAG-BREAKER AND CUTTING THE SORTING BELT).
The material leaving the bag-breaker is conveyed to belt no. 2 and to the rotary-disk screen, which is intended to unload the material below 60x60 mm. This material is collected underneath, conveyed outside the shed by means of a belt and unloaded into a container.
(THE ROTARY-DISK SCREEN IS MORE EFFICIENT FOR THIS TYPE OF WORK THAN THE ROTARY SCREEN. THE MATERIAL IS TRANSPORTED EVENLY ALONG THE WHOLE WIDTH OF THE SCREEN (IT IS NOT ROLLED UP). IT FALLS ONTO THE SORTING BELT AND IT IS SPREAD ALONG ITS WHOLE WIDTH).
The material sorted by the screen is evenly unloaded onto sorting belt no. 3. While it is moving forward, two people remove the cellophane (film) and throw it into Box no. 1 underneath by means of trap-doors. Two people remove the bottles of detergents and throw them into Box no. 2 underneath. Two people remove white bottles (pets) and throw them into Box no. 3 underneath. Two people remove dark bottles (pets) and throw them into Box no. 4 underneath. Iron is removed by means of a magnet through a hopper. It is unloaded onto a belt underneath, conveyed outside the shed and unloaded into a container. Two people remove aluminium cans and throw them onto a belt intended to convey them outside the shed and to unload them into a container. At the end of the sorting belt, the non-recyclable material will fall into a container, under the intermediate floor (material for the dump site).
When full, box no. 1 – 2 - 3 - 4 are emptied onto press-belt no. 4. Every single box will contain one single kind of material. After having emptied a box, please empty the press-belt too and tie up the bale before emptying box 2, 3, etc.
